Self Love: Senior Art Exhibition

"Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we'll ever do." -Brené Brown. Self-love is difficult as we make many mistakes in our life and are constantly facing negativity through others or media. In the eyes of others, there is always something that we can change about ourselves or our actions. Learning to love yourself for the way you are takes away the power from negativity. My artwork is an attempt to help spread the importance of self-love. All the paintings of me are images of when I truly loved myself for my personality and body. I asked some friends to also participate by allowing me to paint images of moments where they also truly loved themselves."
