"Food Frenzy Started out as a conceptual experiment about the vast meanings and uses of English words. Inspired by photographers such as Annabelle Breakey, Benito Martin, and Kyle Dreier, I chose to focus my lens on food. As a woman with depression and anxiety, eating can sometimes be a chore and I wanted to start looking at healthy foods in a more fun, carefree way. In addition, I wanted to express my love for typography and show how typography plays a vital role in our commercial world. My hope is that the audience will come out of this experience with a newfound love for food, the written language, and commercial photography. To start the project, I began thinking of common items found in a grocery store and how their meanings can be changed through context. I began imagining alternative ways of describing food and food products and how they could be made in unconventional ways. The execution of the photos was meant to be fun and lighthearted, just like the results of the photos."
